Ok experts, what is the easiest way to get this loader off? Apparently I pull 2 large pins and it is free - the front bar of the loader frame just seems to 'sit' into a 'u-shaped' bracket on the front. so whats the easy way to get it off? Use a hoise to move the frame off the tractor after the pins are pulled and drive out from under it?While you are at it, anyone wanna see the plans for a oil pressure guage I put in the dash, as well as the relay controlled front and rear halogen floods?

Hi Ed. I have the same setup on my 7265. You actually use the loader hydraulics to take the weight off the pins.
I do it like this.
1) Raise the loader up a couple of feet. Take out the stands and put them in the brackets about midway.
2)Lower the loader until the stands just touch and then tip the bucket until the edge touches down.
3) Fool with the hydraulics until the pins come loose and then pull the pins.
4) Curl the bucket up slowly and the loader should rock forward up out of the mounts. You might have to kick it once or so to loosen it up. I sometimes jump on the bucket and it comes right off.
5) Disconnect the hydraulic lines. Don't forget to loop the tractor end back to the block (it's an open center system) or you'll screw up the pump.
If you want I'll scan in my loader manual and send it to you. ....

I re-read your original post. I have a 476 loader and it is somewhat different. My only attachment point is the big bracket where the pins are. My directions might still work..... ....

It seems strange that you go thru what you do. Those loaders are easy to remove. First find some level ground. Yes you do have to back away after removing the pins but you don't need a hoist. ....

Figures - I saw the word 'stands' up there. Another item I didnt get from the dealer. Ok, whom here is a dealer willing to sell me a set or give plans for me to weld up a set? ....

Ed- My stands store in the tube that runs horizontally between the loader arms. They are held in place by pins. It is really easy to remove the loader once you've done it once or twice. ....

Ed, if your dealer is a Cub Cadet dealer you can demand both the stand and its securing pin. Any Cub dealer can order a replacement. Under the agreement Cub Cadet has with its dealers, it is the responsibility of the dealer to sell Cub Cadet products in a SAFE condition, even used, and to notify the customer in writing if the product being sold is defective, or is unsafe, and to explain the nature of the defect. Seems to me, letting you hang by thinking that the SAFE way to remove your loader is to use a hoist, when a stand was provided, is an open invitation to a law suit. A lawyer would have a field day with this as this kind of safety issue sends ripples through your dealer, Cub Cadet, MTD, Woods, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, your State, and the Feds. Pony up some moxey and suggest to your dealer that there is more at stake here than just the hassle and cost of ordering a few parts. By the way, Woods makes the loader and includes numerous safety decals, one of which explains how to set-up your loader stand. Woods is an excellent manufacturer that has your safety foremost in their minds, if you don't get anywhere with dealer san, then try Woods, or your family lawyer. Get smart, don't let yourself be taken advantage of. ....
